Rugby: Mice win to make Mid-Island Final

The Grade 8 rugby team notched up their biggest win of the season on Tuesday against rivals Shawnigan Lake School by a score of 53-12. Inspired by playing on the 1st XV field in front of many cheering senior rugby players, the team put on an impressive display of open, running rugby, scoring no fewer than 9 trys. Leading the charge was captain Randall Barton with three and Roger Anderson with two. Full back and speedster, Alejandro Alvarez scored a try and five goals, while Tim Liu and Alejandro Perusquia both added a try apiece. The game was a qualifier for Thursday's Mid-Island final against George Bonner School.
