The First IV Rugby team played one of their first games of the season against St. Georges School this Tuesday, and unfortunately it ended in a tough loss.

Many of the players were still sore from the hard-fought defeat to an Alberta based all-star team, as well as a jamboree of three shortened games (2 wins, 1 tie) at the Cowichan Rugby Club: we then had to play against one of the most highly skilled and physical high school teams in the Lower Mainland of BC.

After the team returns from Spring Break, we will kick off against opponents such as St. Michaels, Frances Kelsey, and our biggest and likely most difficult rival, Shawnigan Lake School. All these games will be in preparation for the provincial qualifiers, and then onto provincials, which marks the pinnacle of our season. But we still have many games to play before then!
