Rugby: convincing Provincial Championships quarter-final win for 1st XV

Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - By: Tony Healy

The Brentwood 1st XV won their quarter-final match against Rick Hansen High School from Abbotsford today. While only playing well in flashes, the team were able to cruise to a 32-3 victory over the very physical Rick Hansen side. The players were naturally happy with the win, but were not pleased by their performance, knowing that it was not an effort that came close to their potential. They will, in fact, need to raise their game to overcome a much-improved Rockridge High School in the semi-final (2:30pm Thursday, 29th May at UBC's Thunderbird Stadium).  The boys greatly appreciated the support from the parents, family members, and Board members Kip Woodward and George Killy, as well as former Head of School Bill Ross.
