Rowing Club Exceeds Expectations at Duelling Over a Grand

The rowing club participated in the Duelling Over a Grand Regatta at Victoria City Rowing Club this past weekend. The format of each race in the regatta is for two crews to race against each other with the winner moving on to the next round. Crews may lose one race and still advance, but are out of contention after a second loss. Brentwood entered ten of the twelve events and made it to the final race in eight of the ten, with the other two entries finishing third. Our Junior B Girls quad led from start to finish and won their event. Although this was the only victory, crews are beginning to show some real form, which is exciting given that our own regatta is fast approaching (April 25-27th). The Club's next regatta will be 19th April at Quamichan Lake. All results will be posted on the Brentwood Blog later this week.
