Boys Boathouse Captain - Taylor Rempel: Second-year rower and two years in the varsity boys eight, Taylor is ready to step up and help guide the club through the year. Taylor has aspirations to row after high school, hopefully at the University of Washington.
Assistant Boathouse Captain - Will Hindson. Will has been a member of the rowing club for three years and on the varsity eight for the past two seasons. Will's father also had a leadership role in the rowing club 30 years ago. Will is excited about the prospect of helping Taylor and Quinn run the club. He has aspirations to row after high school, hopefully at the University of Washington.
Girls Boathouse Captain - Quinn Erickson. Quinn has been a member of the rowing club for the past five years. She rowed on the girls varsity eight when she was in Grade 9. She has already rowed for Team BC at the Western Canada Games in 2007. In 2007, Quinn won the Junior B Single at the Royal Canadian Henley in St. Catharines. Last season, she won the bronze medal with Rebecca Holland in the senior women's double at the Canadian High School Rowing Championships. Quinn is one of the top rowing recruits in North America this year.
Assistant Boathouse Captain - Mary Johnston. Mary has been a part of the rowing club for the past four years. In 2007, Mary won the gold medal at the Canadian High School Rowing Championships in the junior women's four. Mary's commitment to the rowing club is unparalleled and she will be an important player in organising the various regattas this year.
