Regatta Stage Being Set

Though the first race of the 43rd Brentwood International Regatta is still 7 days, 21 hours and 36 minutes away, the Regatta Stage, both literally and figuratively, is being set. Rowers and their coaches are training like fiends, the entrepreneurship students are finalizing their plans for delicious food, musicians are polishing their acts, Mr. Garvey gave his unfailingly humourous and important pre-regatta speech in assembly today and, behind the scenes, Brentwood’s indefatigable facilities staff members are, among other things, literally setting the stage. We all look forward to welcoming more than 1700 rowers (along with their attendant coaches and families) as well as Brentwood parents and alumni back onto campus next weekend.
