Privett Throws Down the Gauntlet for Haiti Fundraising

15 January 2010
Intrepid Privett houseparent and father of two, Ron Neufeld has begun an interhouse fundraising competition to help those in need in Haiti. Last night the Privett boys collected $176 in the house, straight from their pockets. Mr Neufeld then matched this amount and added a dollar bringing the total to $353. As of press time, the amount has grown to $475 with donations pouring in from staff members and alumni. Privett alumni who donate to Haitian relief are welcome to add their amounts to the growing total--Mr Neufeld can be reached at ron.neufeld@brentwood.bc.ca. A list of organizations accepting donations is provided here: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2010/01/13/f-emergency-contacts-haiti-relief-aid.html. Despite having the fewest number of students, Privett House is leading the interhouse competitions this year, including donations to Haiti. Privett would be delighted help Haitians by losing this competition and invites the other Brentwood competitive houses to step forward with their donations.
