Not only is the English Department Moodle the place where all the cool kids hang out, but room 301 (The Collisium - professional home of English Department Head, Mr. Paul Collis) is now some pretty decent competition with the turnout we had on February 3rd. With the promise of 12 poetry slammers, free donuts, and coffee, how can you not show up? The night was organized by Madison P for a fun way to get out of prep for a bit, but it was also a chance to audition for the school's slam team which will compete in Victoria at "Victorious Voices" in April. As each performer took the stage, the audience members were silent with anticipation until hearing something terrific, when they would break out in snaps, the slam equivalent of clapping which is allowed during the performance instead of being saved only for the end. Everybody enjoyed the calm and cool atmosphere offered to them by the inspirational and personal words of their peers. Sydney R, Allard ‘18
