Peer Tutoring at Brentwood

This year nineteen Grade 11 and 12 students have volunteered to tutor other students once a week in all of our academic topics, from English to Calculus. Attendance at these tutoring sessions varies depending on the current workload with as many as twenty-four students signing up for a single tutoring session. Tutoring is provided during prep between the hours of 7:30 - 8:30pm on Tuesday nights. Our tutors are given guidelines when helping other students and sometimes receive coaching from our in-house faculty tutor, Alanna Vogt. Not only do students attending tutorials benefit but our tutors also gain instructional confidence and volunteer hours that count as graduation credits.
