Over the past three weeks, students and parents participated in our annual Parent Teacher Interviews where parents met with teachers in person or on Skype. Through these 10 minute interviews, the faculty were able to reflect on the student’s progress throughout the course and provide feedback to improve their performance in class. November 9 concluded our final Parent Teacher Interviews in the morning and marked a line to our final weeks until the conclusion of term 1. Phil A, Rogers ‘22 stated “Parent Teachers helped me understand what I need to improve on.''

In order to successfully make your transition from term 1 to term 2 and meet your goals before the end of term 1, it is helpful to listen and comprehend the following advice. As a student who has been in Brentwood for three years, I find it helpful to reflect on the advice provided by the teachers and make a plan to proceed for the next term. It is also essential to meet with your teachers and work with them to meet your goals in their classrooms. With term 1 ending soon and the report cards being published in early December, it is crucial to pay attention in class and ask questions when needed in tutorial or through peer tutoring.

The Parent Teacher Interviews has been a valuable experience to all the students and staff who took part in it and to the parents who also joined with their children. Students will now meet with their advisors and view their progress grades over the course of the following weeks.
