Palmer Iron Works Sculpture Field trip

Sixty students from the sculpture classes had a tremendous opportunity to experience the incredible iron and steel works of Richard Palmer of Palmer Iron works, including a first-hand look at the commissioned gate for Mission Hills Winery and the functioning forge.
Joanne Circle’s felt sculpture studio, also visited, gave demonstrations, presentations and lectures, giving the students a great opportunity to see some of the oldest forms of sculpture in such contrasting materials.
