Rowers have long used ergometers for fitness testing. World records in various age and weight categories are maintained.

Two weeks ago, Kate LW, Allard ‘17 pulled a 6 kilometer Rowing Canada erg test. Her time of 24 minutes, 33 seconds tied the world record in the youth lightweight division. This record has stood for eight years.

Not to be outdone, Peter L, Whittall ‘17 went and set the record for the one minute test just this past weekend.

In Rugby Canada action, Brentwood RFA Ms Kelly Russell captained our national women’s 15’s team on a three game tour in Europe. Canada played Ireland, New Zealand and England. Kelly is now back in Mill Bay guiding our women’s rugby team.

Congratulations Kate, Peter & Kelly!
