Old Brentonians shine in the National Rowing Championships finals

The Canadian National Rowing Championships concluded today on the Welland Canal in Ontario and making it to the podium were three Old Brentonians. Final results: Malcolm Howard (Class of 2001) — National Champion, Men's Single ($7,500 first prize); Scott Frandsen (Class of 1998) — silver medal in the Men's Pair; Dave Calder (Class of 1996) — bronze medal in the Men's Pair; Jan Tize (Class of 2004) — sixth in the "A" final in the Men's Pair (youngest competitor in the "A" final); Jamie Faris (Class of 2000) — first in the "B" flight of the Men's Pair (7th overall); Peter Dembicki (Class of 1998) — 12th overall in the Men's Single
