Old Brentonians at World Rugby Championships

Playing in the same pool as perennial powerhouse countries such as Australia and Wales will provide a huge test for two Old Brentonians who will be representing Canada this week at the under-20 World Rugby Championships in Fukuoka Japan. Both Will Philippson and Evan Mallory (Class of 2007) will be able to challenge themselves while playing against some of the finest rugby talent in the world, and will aim to gain an all important win in the pool rounds in which they will face Australia, Wales and Tonga. With a win in the preliminary round, Canada will be assured of a place in the top 12 in the world and will guarantee that the U20 program remains in the top tier of the world rugby nations. To Evan and Will, congratulations on being selected to the National team and good luck in this very competitive tournament.
