Off-Season Exercise

Most of us at Brentwood find ourselves getting outside less during the colder stretch of the winter months. The majority of competitive sports are inside, and the sun sets before dinner. Second Term Cross Training, for many students, is a sport we trust will keep us exercising during the winter months.

Located in the spacious strength and conditioning in the fantastic Foote Athletic Center, Winter Cross Training is a high-intensity sport designed specifically for senior athletes who are looking for strength training diversity. Cardio, strength circuits, and cycling are just a few of the exercises cross trainers are expected to complete. By the end of the winter term, cross trainers should have strengthened cardio endurance, increased core stability, and gained valuable workout ideas that they can take with them after their Cross Training and Brentwood career.

“We work these kids pretty hard” says Ms Hall confidently. “We coaches give these hard workers challenging, but fair workout circuits that are simple and easy to follow”. Mr Langer is another key coach for us cross trainers. “Pushing these guys to the limit just makes my day” says Mr Langer whimsically. “For this term, our goal as coaches is that we want our cross trainers to have improved their strength and cardio from the beginning of the term. It should come naturally”.

Because workouts are designed specifically with the cross trainers’ needs in mind, many find this option as a term two sport beneficial to their personal health and exercise needs.
