More games than we can shake a stick at!

The last three days before midterm saw two teams playing four games with one coach!! The Grade 8 midget girls won both their games: a 4-1 victory over Shawnigan Lake School thanks to goals from Eliza Bennett (2), Ane Garay Olazabal and Amanda McLean, then Amanda McLean and Ane Garay Olazabal scored a goal apiece to defeat Queen Margaret's School 2-0. It is heartening to watch the experienced players, such as Amanda, Sammy Johnson, Jaid Conn and Sara Sicherman merging as one smooth unit with the new ones, Eliza, Ane and Yuki. The team's next challenge is on November 5th at a closing tournament at Shawnigan Lake School. The senior 2nd X1 traveled to GP Vanier School in Courtney and played the host school, winning 1-0 – the goal scored by right wing Emily Wolff. They then lost a close game 1-0 to Isfeld Secondary School.  With every game, this team is increasing in confidence and skill.
