Michaels Makes St. Mary’s
Shelby Michaels, who played four years with the Sr. Volleyball team at Brentwood (captaining the team last year and winning a provincial title in 2007) has recently been named to the Saint Mary’s University Women’s Varsity Volleyball team.
The St. Mary’s press release (which can be read in its entirety at http://www.smu.ca/athletics/volleyball-w-welcome.html quotes Shelby: “Saint Mary’s is the university where I visited and instantly felt comfortable and welcomed. It has a recognizable volleyball program, as well as an excellent business school, which helped to draw my interest. After being offered a position by many universities in both the USA and Canada, I chose Saint Mary’s because overall I felt this is the best fit, and I liked the coaching staff and their environment.”
Shelby, who was also the 2011 Grad President, joins former Brentwood teammates Liz Cosulich ’07 and Tessa Felix ’08 on the St. Mary’s squad.
