Michael O Receives Silver Medal for Grade 8 Flute in British Columbia

Michael O is the recipient of the silver medal for Grade 8 flute in British Columbia for the 2008-2009 academic year! The Royal Conservatory of Music Silver Medals are awarded each academic year, September 1 to August 31, by province or region, to candidates who have obtained the highest marks for practical examinations in each discipline, Grades 1 through 10. Recipients must have obtained a minimum mark of 80% on their practical examination and have completed the theory requirements for their grade. Michael has been invited to attend the Silver Medals Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 21st 2009 held at the Mount Seymour United Church in North Vancouver. Congratulations to Michael and his teacher Richard Volet, Principal Flute of the Victoria Symphony.
