On Saturday, the Grade 8 team faced a tough Shawnigan team in wet conditions at Shawnigan and weathered a storm of pressure from a large and well-drilled Shawnigan pack to earn a 14-5 victory. Both tries were scored by amazing Korean winger Kiu Ho-Lee and both tries came from excellent tactical kicks by Captain and fly-half, Ian Mitchell. Kiu was able dribble the ball past the defenders and outrace the cover defence to dive over the line. Pablo Cristobal kicked both conversions. The top tacklers for the day were Connor Martin, Jake Kantorowitz and, in his first game for the team, Jordan DeGraaf. The Mice record is now 2-1 in ISA play and they host St. George's in their next game 3rd November.
