Mental Health Awareness Day

17 November 2016
Thomas B, Ellis ‘18
Instead of going to class on Saturday, the Grade 11’s packed into the Killy Theater where we started our Mental Health Awareness Day. We then went around to a variety of stations where presenters came around and talked about many of the mental health issues we face in our everyday lives. Many of these presenters happened to be counsellors who made their topics very clear. Andy Dale is one of the on-call counselors who helps out at Brentwood. It was a very good day run by SPARC with Grade 12’s helping out as well as Nurse Jasmine who organized the entire event. It was appreciated by many people: “I really liked it” said Sydney C, Alex ‘18. Mental health is something we are all affected by and is now something we know more about.  Thomas B, Ellis ‘18
