Manuary Meets Mill Bay

7 January 2011
Seven days ago, a historic month at Brentwood College began. Although we were still on holiday, January 1st was the beginning of Brentwood’s first ever Man Month in support of prostate and testicular cancer awareness and research. Fundraising and awareness raising are the goals.

Why prostate and testicular cancer?

Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer to affect Canadian men and testicular cancer, often detected with regular checkups, is near a breakthrough in prevention research. A four dollar donation from students, staff and faculty wishing to enjoy month-long facial freedom is suggested. All proceeds will be donated to prostate and testicular cancer research. All forms of facial hair, from Grade 9 peach fuzz, to Grizzly Adams beards and Fu Manchu mustaches, are encouraged.

More details can be found on Facebook at Brentwood College Man Month as well as the event Manuary 2011.

Mo with the flow!
