Kings of the Kourt

With the weather continuing to be dry and somewhat warm, Brentwood hosted the first Fall Classic Tennis Tournament. Doubles teams from Shawnigan Lake School and Frances Kelsey were invited to compete. A total of 16 teams started the day in the A Division of the triple knock out tournament. With lots of food on the buffet table and the BBQ running constantly, the teams battled for court supremacy. At the end of the day, Nick M & Christopher C were narrowly defeated in the A final to take the silver medal. Laurenz S & Sean M won an epic tiebreaker to claim victory in the B Division while Tu L & Sean M worked hard to win the C Division. Other teams competing were Ingrid C & Nancy M, Joh H & Spencer B, Alexa A & Dilan G, Mr. MacLean & Mrs. Felix, Santiago G & Jasper S, Jasper B-S & Wasay C, and Victor C & Arthus L. A special thank you goes to Chantei M, Chris P, and Hilary J who did a superb job as Grill Masters. It was a great day of fun, food, and tennis at the Brentwood courts, an unexpected bonus of the great fall weather. Mrs. Marci McLean, Coach
