As we prepare to return to Brentwood after our March Break, I would like to reflex back on our annual Kindness Week in February. It was hosted by the SAC, BEAT, SPARC, Grad Council and SEC. These groups put on numerous fun and creative events each day for the students to engage in. BEAT and SPARC started the week with the warm clothing drive. The activities continued with the Friendship Bracelet stand, where students made bracelets to raise funds for a child in Nicaragua, the Ball Pit, the Kindness Book, Gradful day, a Korean inspired dinner, Streaming of the Olympic Games in our Canada House, and dress up themes for the academic morning, including World Kindness Day. Our students were very involved and actively participated in the events. Students expressed how much they enjoyed the week. Maya H, ‘19 expressed how much she enjoyed the week: “The gratitude board allowed all of us to take a few minutes to think about what we are grateful for and why we are so lucky to be able to attend Brentwood College School.”  The week’s most popular event was World Kindness Day. For this event, students were encouraged to dress in the colours of their home countries and/or any special clothing that originates from where they are from. The Brentwood student body took this to an entirely new level, as many students put together unique outfits that demonstrated where they are from. It was amazing to walk around campus, see all of the different students dressed in clothing that represented their home. Brentwood is known as the place where the world comes to school: it was special to see a visual representation of that statement.  Kindness Week was filled with amazing activities for our students, and it is all thanks to the SAC, SPARC, BEAT, the Grad Council and SEC. We would also like to thank all of the student volunteers and the teacher leaders of these groups for all of their hard work.  Once we’re back at school on Tuesday, let’s work hard to continue the kindness momentum: pay it forward, Brentwood. Let’s have a great Spring term. Sydney C, Alex ‘18
