Last Saturday night, September 25, the whole school celebrated the start of what is sure to be another amazing school year. After a jam packed two weeks of classes, sports, and arts, and rescheduling due to rain, Brentwood students were itching to let loose and meet some new people.

The evening started out with the Fall Fun Fair, expertly organized by SAC Captain Anna D, Allard ‘22, and her amazing SAC volunteers. We would like to thank Anna and her team for organizing one of their first major events this school year. In between the cotton candy machine, potato-sack races, a watermelon-eating contest, and balloon darts, there was lots of fun had all around. Izzi T, Allard ‘23 had a “splendid time” and is “looking forward to more fun school events!”

As the sun set, students returned to their houses to get ready as the SAC set up the stage and speakers on the Plaza outside the Ross Building. The air was abuzz with excitement and after missing out on this night last year, every Brentwood student was looking forward to the End of Summer Bash. At 8 pm, everyone arrived dressed to impress and the music - expertly DJed by Jacob H, Privett ‘22, Max S, Rogers ‘22, and Sajeev S, Whittall ‘22 - echoed throughout campus.

The End of Summer Bash wouldn’t be what it is without a mosh pit which Kiara J, Alexandra ‘23 would agree “went pretty hard”. The dancing was so intense that one of the lamp posts even got knocked over. The DJs played hits like “Fireball”, “Light it Up”, and “Party in the USA” and poured water on the jumping crowd. A fun time was had by all, even those of us who are just now getting back our voices.
