A very busy term two has come to a close for Brentwood. While term two is the shortest term of the year, it definitely feels like the longest with the darker, gloomier weather that takes ahold of Mill Bay.  For the grads, term three is expected to fly by just as these past few months have. It was a term full of fantastic events such as Java Hut, Interhouse rock climbing, Alex Open House, Allard Open House as well as many sporting and artistic accomplishments! Just before the February midterm, an illuminating Spirit week filled with theme days took place. Spirit Week allowed students to get out of the uniform and express their colorful side. The biggest event of term two, by far, is the production of West Side Story. “It was an amazing production, one of the best ones I have seen. There was so much emotion in this musical and it was truly fantastic”, Ella H said as we were walking out of the Killy Theatre. The actors, dancers, singers and stage crew worked tirelessly to make the production what it is. We look forward to the Senior Play that is fast approaching! As a Grade 12 student, it is a bitter-sweet feeling to be enjoying these events for the last time as a Brentwood student before we come Brentwood alumni. Emails and notifications are beginning to flood in about graduation and the schedule for our Class Dinner the following day; graduation is starting to feel very close. Today marks 79 days until we are through our final highschool exams and are walking across the stage accepting our diplomas. We will remember the snow days that took place over our time here at Brentwood. We will remember the assembly where Mr. Patel successfully did the splits. We will remember the late Saturday nights spent watching movies with our second families. We will remember Brentwood.  So even though we are two out of three terms done, we have the best one left to cherish and enjoy all of the events to come. The sun is shining and a bright blue sky has returned to Mill Bay. Our last few interhouse competitions as well as our last few open houses are still to come along with the warm weather! We have the annual BEAT the HEAT day as well as the Brentwood Regatta which will be a great time for the entrepreneurship students to showcase their food booths!  Enjoy term three everyone!
