For the past year, every month, our Grade 8 class has been visiting the Khowhemun Elementary School Grade 1 and Kindergarten classes to help them with their reading. Last week we were fortunate to host the kids at Brentwood.  This was a fun experience consisting of playing games, scavenger hunts, and getting to know the kids better.  It was so much fun, and we really bonded with the kids. We went to the gym to play some games including What time is it Mr. Wolf?, Freeze dance, Octopus, and Balance the ball on the spoon.  Later, we went on a scavenger hunt with a fun prize at the end that ended up being bubble sticks! After the scavenger hunt, the kids got to have some fun playing with their bubbles and buddies. Next, we headed inside to the cafeteria where the Food services staff provided yummy sandwiches and snacks.  Sadly, it was then time for them to leave and we had to say our goodbyes. It was a really fun day and we made lots of great memories with our reading buddies.  LJ L, Chaya N & Amelia G.
