Kelsey Knots Up Senior Soccer
The Senior Boys Soccer team played an entertaining away match at Kelsey on Thursday but couldn't hold on to a slight lead right at the game’s end. Kelsey struck first, but Brentwood returned the favour after moving the ball smartly up the left side, which Josh S neatly slipped to Harrison B breaking through the defense. Harrison coolly sliced it into the corner. Game on.
Brentwood continued to press and created enough opportunities that should have led to outright goals. During one of those forays, Josh S was brought down in the box and Rene B made no mistake slotting the penalty kick to give us the lead. It looked as if Brentwood would take all three points, but Kelsey managed a late equalizer on a rocket of a shot. Both goalies, Jordan C & Erick B, had strong games, and a dazzling run by Hezron R came very close to getting us a third goal.
BCS takes on Shawnigan at home October 9 in our next league match.
