A quick turn to the left, a continuous stride to the net and a mighteous boot that pungles into the top corner of the net. With two wins and two losses, Brentwood’s team for the ISA tournament had some sad faces as we ultimately came fourth at the event, just outside the medals. But there is much to celebrate. The first game was against Shawnigan, a fierce team which had some strong players. As it was the first game, we were quite scrambled and had not yet found the flow, but we still put a great effort into the plays. The game ended in a 3-0 loss but we shook it off and went to get crêpes and other delicious snacks to fuel ourselves up for our next game.  Our second game was rather intense and went into penalty kicks for us to drip with sweat over. Our goalie, Sarah R, filled with courage, saved the day by stopping a goal which led us to win the game. We went home with lots of energy and excitement to play with for the following day.  We continued the tournament with great plays and a win in the first game of day two. When it came down to the final game, we played strong and stuck it through to the end but we were unable to beat SMUS.  The tournament was a lot of fun and a great experience for the newer players. We bonded as a team and gave it our best shot. We are working hard in practice with our coaches to achieve our full potential. There is a great future ahead with this team.  Kenya B, Alex ‘20
