Junior Soccer Girls Sharp in First Game

The Junior Girls soccer team started their 2008 season with a solid performance against Shawnigan Lake and took a much deserved win. The team posted a shutout (with Megan in goal) by showing  determined tackling and allowing Shawnigan Lake few scoring opportunites. The midfield won the battle in the middle of the park and contributed to the scoring with two goals from Marta. The forwards created a number of scoring chances and capitalised with a hat-trick from Kate. It was a game where the whole team contributed in taking all three points from the match. The team heads to the Gulf Islands next week and hopes to carry that momentum on from this important win.
