Junior Soccer Girls On A Roll

The junior soccer girls continued their winning ways by travelling to Saltspring Island and emerging as 4-0 winners against perennially strong GISS. Four different players contributed to the scoring showing that the team has a number of options to draw on. Marta and Tessa scored in the first half, followed by Ana and Erica in the second half. Erica's was a coolly placed penalty kick, giving the GISS keeper no chance of stopping. Again the team controlled the midfield and the defence was very stingy, allowing few real threats on the Brentwood goal. When called upon, Megan was quick to come off her line and clear any dangerous through balls. The team travels to Quamichan next Tuesday.
