Junior of the Year

Oarswoman Sarah G, Allard 21, who has distinguished herself this fall - her first at Brentwood - as a skilled stroke of the Junior Girls fastest crews, returned to her home club, the Vancouver Rowing Club this weekend where she was awarded the Junior of the Year trophy as the club’s top junior rower. Presenting the trophy were her VRC coaches Mary Rusak and Viktor Djurasic. Sarah, who manages a course load featuring Grade 12 math and two Grade 11 AP sciences, also enjoys field hockey and photography. Sarah is the second oarswoman from Brentwood to win this prestigious award. In 2008, Erin Young was awarded this honour.  We congratulate Sarah on her accomplishment and look forward to her continued success on the waters of Mill Bay.
