Junior Girls soccer team enjoy the top level competition at the Islands Championship

The Junior Girls soccer team travelled to Nanaimo for the Island Championships and encountered some tough competition. Brentwood lost close games against Ballenas (2-1), SMU (2-0),  Dover (4-2), and 5-1 against Vanier (who were playing for the championship title when we left). The team played well and saw Alycia score 3 goals in the tournament, along with one from Ana C. Given the intense competition, each team member was called upon to perform to the best of their abilities — a task each was up to. Winning the Cowichan Valley league, and earning the right to play with the best on the Island, was a high point for the team.
