Junior Boys Shine at the Shawnigan Regatta

This past weekend the rowing club participated in its last event of the season (on the west coast), entering 125 athletes to compete at the Shawnigan Lake Regatta. The Junior Boys team competed in nine events, winning four gold and three silver. Gold medals were awarded to the Junior B eight, Junior B JV eight, Junior B coxed four, Junior B JV coxed four. Silver medals were awarded to the Junior boys in the coxed quad, JV coxed quad and the double. The Senior Girls and Boys eights and the Junior B Girls eight all earned silver medals in their respective events. Adam Galbraith and Connor McGuigan, racing for the second time together this season won the gold medal in the junior men pair. Eric Jackson won the bronze medal in the junior men single.
