Junior Boys Basketball Team Ends 2009 with 5-1 Record

7 December 2009
The Brentwood Junior boys have had a very successful start to the basketball season. After losing their first game of the year on Friday night to powerful Mt. Douglas Secondary school 60-43, the team came back with victories over Esquimalt Secondary 70-23, and a nail-biting three point victory over traditionally very strong Dover Bay Secondary from Nanaimo 41-38. Especially huge in the Dover Bay game was the play of local product Jordan C who had 8 points and some timely assists. David R led the scoring charge once again on the weekend but several other players including Jason Y, Michael H, and Diego M hit the scoring column for the first time this season. The boys will now have a long Christmas break and reconvene in January to continue to build on their 5-1 record.
