Junior B Boys Basketball Splits Opening Pair

14 January 2016
Under the tutelage of Coaches Napier and Martin, the Junior B Boys Basketball team began the hoops season splitting their first two pre-Christmas games.  In the opener against Queen of Angels, the boys worked hard to earn a slim halftime lead before a Steph Curry clone shot the lights out for their opponents late in the second half. Close but no cigar for our young ballers. Much was learned from this first contest and the boys prepared to play Chemainus in their second tussle of the season. With hard work all around and some fine defence, the lads departed the seaside city of murals with a win worthy of a fresco.  Back on the court this week after a three week layoff, the boys will be preparing for matches against SLS, Duncan Christian and Cowichan High as well as a Grade 8 tournament in Duncan. Live streaming is unlikely as these lads prefer the roar of an in situ audience.
