Junior B Boys Basketball

Saturday, March 23, 2019 - By: Mr. Jordan Warner

The Junior B Boys initially struggled, opening with four consecutive losses as the team began to develop its identify, install its team concepts, and lay the foundation of a very successful season to come.

In the Jr B CVIAA league, the team went undefeated over seven games en route to winning the league tournament. Jayden L’s buzzer-beating 3 point shot against DCS in league play to win 54-51 was an incredible season highlight.

At Tier II Jr ISAs, the team finished with 1 win and 2 losses, outscoring their opponents by a total of 8 points across the 3 games and playing very competitively.

The Grade 8 and 9 players from the Jr B team hosted the Grade 9 Island tournament and finished 2nd, earning a berth to Grade 9 Provincials for the first time ever for a boys’ team from Brentwood.

A big thank you to all players, parents and Coach Kulai for helping make this season a special one for the Jr B boys. To those players that desire to take their games to the Jr A or Senior level next season – work hard this offseason!
