Jr. Girls Volleyball
This past weekend the Junior A Girls volleyball team hosted its annual tournament and faced off against some of the strongest competition on the Island. The team played Woodlands very close on Friday, losing 23-25 and 15-25 before facing three of the strongest teams to finish the round robin. After a tough loss to rival Shawnigan on Saturday morning, the team mounted an emotional comeback victory against Woodlands to finish the tournament: 17-25, 25-15, 15-4.
The girls were extremely excited about their triumph, deservedly so! They displayed continual improvement and commitment to each other over the course of the weekend. With two girls currently nursing injuries, we hope to be healthier and have a full squad back after Thanksgiving as we prepare for the Belmont tournament on Oct 14/15 and the ISA's at home Oct 21/22.
