Jr Girls ISA Volleyball

This past weekend the Jr Girls A Volleyball team took on the ISAs in search of some tough competition.

We started our weekend strongly by having a solid win against Mulgrave, winning both of our sets by more than ten points! We also won our second match against Glenlyon Norfolk earning us spot in our pool final. The team battled tough competitor Crofton House for the top spot, but came just short losing our third match, placing us second in our pool. “It was a great game” said Head coach Mr Minkler. “The girls battled hard and didn’t give up.”

On Saturday morning the girls played last year’s ISA winners, York House. It was an exciting game with great blocks by our middles and amazing hits by Co-Captain Sasha B, Allard ‘22. Unfortunately, York House came out on top. We lost a close game to Collingwood next, but showed a lot of grit and effort.

The team ended the tournament on a high when we beat Southpoint Academy in a stimulating three-set game. It was great to see how much the team has improved since the beginning of the season. The girls are now getting ready to take on the Mid-Island tournament in two weeks!
