Brentwood students often return from break happy, but perhaps carrying a few extra pounds and are definitely ready for a return to sport! From the running trails, to the cross fit circuits, to the yoga studio, to the tennis bubble or the soccer and rugby fields, it was wonderful to walk around and see such a breadth of different sports happening on our first day back.  With the New Year comes the start of a new competitive season for Brentwood teams and the focus in term two is on squash, basketball and hockey. Our squash team is off to the ISA championship this month at SMUS  and will see some of the best players in the province at this event. Our senior girls, senior boys and junior boys basketball teams all host tournaments this month and the junior girls and junior B boys will also be extremely busy. In hockey, we will be hosting St George’s school and play a showcase game for the Saville Cup on January 23rd, an event that is sure to have an electric atmosphere and well attended by fans from both schools. Please wish all our teams luck and we will be sure to keep you posted on our results in our next edition of The Torch!
