Island All-Star Honors
Jon C and David L-R were both deservingly named to the North Island First All-Star team this week. Selections were made from all of A, AA and AAA teams, based on votes from coaches across the Island.
Jon and David were two big reasons why the Brentwood team had such an impressive season. Jon averaged 10 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game this year and was frequently asked to shut down the opposing team’s best player. He was the winner of the Hoshi Award – for Brentwood’s defensive player of the year.
David was one of Brentwood’s leading scorers averaging 18.5 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. He was also the co-recipient of the Player’s Award for his commitment to his teammates, the program and his love of the game. Both boys played major roles in our 4th place finish at the Provincial Championships.
Congrats to both players on a fantastic season.
