On April 7, the Senior Girls Soccer team took on their very first tournament of the season, the ISAs. Friday morning, the girls fought hard against Crofton House School resulting in a tough 2-1 loss with a goal scored by our player of the game, Morgan W, Allard ‘18. The girls then played the host team of the tournament, SMUS, fighting hard throughout the first half to keep the score at a 0-0. With a lucky shot on net from SMUS, the game ended at a 1-0 victory for SMUS with Nairee P, Allard ‘18 receiving player of the game.  Despite Friday’s losses, the soccer team made a major comeback for their next two games on Saturday. The first match was against Southpoint Academy. The girls played an amazing offence/defense game as they racked up a total of seven goals. Following the win in the morning, Brentwood scored another five goals against SLS, ending with a score of 5-1, with Reece FR, Allard ‘19, receiving player of the game.  The first tournament highlighted the importance of teamwork and positive team dynamics. The team can’t wait to continue its progress in developing knowledge and skills on and off the field as the season continues. Vanessa C, Allard ‘17, Captain
