The Senior Girls Soccer team took a lengthy road trip up to Campbell River for the Investors Cup Tournament last week. Over the course of two days the girls fought hard placing third in the second tier of the tournament.

Losing our first game against a strong AAAA team from Handsworth was disappointing but we came back by winning two and tying another. Taylor C, Allard ’17 was named MVP of the tournament as she made some amazing saves while also getting a chance to play defense in our last game.

While competing in the sunshine up island, the real win was being able to spend quality team-bonding time with each other. We enjoyed a quick dip into the numbing ocean and snuck in a five-course meal at Moxies. The tournament was a great success in getting to know everyone while developing our soccer skills.

The team is excited to head back up the island to Courtney to compete in North Islands May 8-9!
