Dr. Albu is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering whose research interests include computer vision, medical imaging, virtual reality, modelling and simulation. She is also one of the lead researchers at the Simbioses Lab at UVic and gave a workshop at Brentwood about computer vision last year. Paul Reimer is a research assistant at UVic and a member of her research group. On Thursday, a group of our students will learn more about computer programming and computer vision using a webcam to detect objects.
