Hitting the Right Notes at the Cowichan Music Festival
Vicky C has won the 20th Century repertoire class and section with her phenomenal performance of Bartok’s “Allegro Barbaro”. Mrs. MacIsaac describes it as “an infernally difficult piece.” Vicky will play it for the school at the Concert for A Summer’s Eve. Vicky has also been asked to perform it at the Festival Honours Performance this Sunday where she will receive her award.
Liam K won first place in the Classical repertoire category, competing against some very fine pianists. His was a finely honed performance of the Mozart D Minor Fantasy.
