Haz Launches Intercollegiate Career

7 October 2018
In her four years at Brentwood, Mckenna Haz, Mackenzie ‘16 had a substantial impact on our Rugby program. A skilled and speedy back, her opponents always needed to know where she was on the field. While at Brentwood, her 2015 team earned an undefeated season, a first for a Brentwood girls’ team, winning the BC High School 7s championship and the AA Provincial 15s Championship.  In addition, Mckenna earned BC U16 and BC U18 honours in 7s and 15s during her Brentwood career, winning national championships at both age grades.  Since graduating, Mckenna took a ‘gap’ year and travelled abroad, including living and playing in New Zealand and more recently, playing senior women’s rugby in Victoria. This fall Mckenna was offered and accepted an athletic scholarship and began studying and playing rugby at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.
