Guitar Ensemble at the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival

The experience of the guitar ensemble at the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival on April 17th 2019 was a good one. The time of the bus ride coming back may have been a bit inconvenient considering it was rush hour, but it wasn’t that much of a delay and we were provided with more than enough food on the bus. 

As for the festival itself, the venue was pretty small but it was still workable while the other musicians who played there were in our age range and were good classically-trained musicians. Some people were a bit impatient at having to watch the other participants perform, but the adjudicator was friendly, talented and helpful.  

We performed our fun rendition of “ Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. As a Grade 9 who has never been to a music festival like this before, I found it very helpful and a good experience.
