Grass League Volleyball

23 June 2018

For the past 15 years, Brentwood has hosted the Cowichan Outdoor Volleyball League every Wednesday evening on the field, where 42 teams with over 200 competitors from Duncan, Mill Bay, and Brentwood gather for the showdown. Teams of all ages (including both Brentwood students and staff) send four players onto the court lined out on the grass, and battle out games to fifteen points, needing to win by two.  The league is divided into seven different divisions, so all skill levels can compete, beginning with entry-level recreational, and progressing up to the intense super-elite. At the end of each day, the team that finishes first in their division moves up a level, and the team that finishes last moves down, keeping an air of competition present within all levels of the league.  For more information about the COVL please see https://www.covl.net/ Alex Toporowski, Allard ‘18
