Grade 9 Animation

11 January 2014

The Brentwood Grade 9 students started our animation projects by learning advertising techniques such as humor, celebrity endorsement, and product quality. Next, we started our planning and storyboarding. Soon after this, we started a task that would test our abilities. Some people had problems with their software, others were frustrated by their time availability, and others were worried about their drawing skills, but in the end everyone managed to be successful.
After editing and doing the voiceover, the students were all set for their Gala. On December 11, the students met in the Arts and Humanities Center for an exciting night where we all shared our animations with each other. In the end, the students voted for best sound, best editing, best screenplay, best comedy, best animation, and best overall short film. Each and every animation was a unique piece of art that required lots of time and determination.
