Girls Rugby: a near run thing with Ladysmith
The girls had a challenging 27-26 win over Ladysmith this week in preparation for the Island championships next week.
The starting XV played very well, moving the ball quickly and running first-rate support. The half-time score was 22-5 with tries from Dylan, Rona, Alison and Mie. We substituted liberally in the second half while Ladysmith stormed back to make it very close. A late try from Lenutsa preserved the win. Our next game is our most important of the season against Shawnigan at home this Saturday at 2 p.m.
