Girls Rugby: 6th place finish at Provincial Championships

Monday, May 26, 2008 - By: Jim Burrows

This past weekend, the girls rugby team emerged from the B.C. Provincial Championships in 6th place, two spots higher than their seeding. It was a physically and mentally demanding experience for everyone, but exciting as the team pitted themselves against the best in the province. With losses to Bateman and Aldergrove and wins against Norkam and Williams Lake, the girls can be proud of their performance given their lack of experience. The coaches commend Alison and Rona for their superb leadership both on and off the field.
